Celtic Manor Resort Wedding Photography of Kelly and Martin
On a warm and sunny Saturday in early August, I travelled to Celtic Manor in Newport, Wales, to photograph Kelly and Martin’s stunning wedding.
Conditions at the venue, which is perhaps best-known for hosting the 2010 Ryder Cup, couldn’t have been more perfect.
Celtic Manor Resort Bridal Prep Photography
First up was bridal prep. Kelly, her bridesmaids and family members were all in great spirits throughout the morning.
After making photos of all the important details, my focus then turned to capturing bridal prep as it unfolded, creating natural photos of everyone as they got themselves ready for the ceremony.
We also took a couple of posed shots of the bridesmaids on the balcony, which provided a wonderful view of part of the venue, including the area where Kelly and Martin would later tie the knot.

Celtic Manor Resort Ceremony Photography
You could feel the emotion during the ceremony and it was a privilege to be in the room as Kelly and Martin were officially declared husband and wife.
I then captured the newly-married couple being congratulated by all of their family and friends. This is always one of my favourite parts of a wedding day.

Celtic Manor served up a delicious meal and the wedding breakfast was followed by the speeches, which were all heartfelt, funny and emotional in equal measure.
Martin’s speech is undoubtedly up there among the best groom speeches that I’ve heard at any wedding.

We found a bit of time to create some portraits of Kelly and Martin before the evening got underway.
Then it was on to cutting the cake and the first dance before the dance floor opened up and everyone let their hair down.
Kelly and Martin: thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day. It’s a wedding I’ll never forget.
